About the role

Provides direct patient care in a clinical setting, supervising staff, facilitating orientation, and ensuring high-quality, safe, and cost-effective nursing practice. The role involves working in a clinical environment, with hours that include 3p-3:30a shifts, rotating weekends, and holiday requirements. The position emphasizes a culture of excellence, safety, learning, and innovation in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise nursing activities on the assigned unit.
• Conduct performance appraisals, monitor absenteeism, manage supplies, and oversee staffing and patient triage.
• Address performance issues, initiate disciplinary actions when needed, and communicate patient care updates.
• Participate in developing nursing policies, interpret procedures, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support Magnet principles, promote evidence-based practices, mentor staff, and foster a participative environment.
• Ensure efficient resource utilization, address patient and family concerns, and document incidents appropriately.
• Assist in improving unit operations to deliver high-quality care and maximize patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

Enrollment in BSN program with at least 2 years of experience.
