Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

About the role

Provide comprehensive nursing care in a busy Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and Obstetrical Emergency Department. Work as part of a cross-trained team that includes RNs, OB Surgical Technicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient information accurately.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to team members.

Requirements

• Valid RN licensure.
• At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and a fetal monitoring credential (e.g., AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC C-EFM).
• Attend orientation and complete competency validations.
• Maintain certifications within specified grace periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Experience in perinatal settings or completion of a Perinatal RN Residency (preferred).

Skills

• Clinical independence and adaptability.
• Strong patient education and communication skills.
• Effective delegation in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

Full-time, 7 PM to 7 AM.
