Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Responsibilities

• Maintains a high standard of professional conduct and ethical behavior.
• Provides routine and complex care, aligning with long-range goals or plans.
• Manages contingencies effectively within the clinical setting.
• Assigns tasks and delegates responsibilities to other care providers.
• Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments according to protocols.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient history, symptoms, and care provided.
• Evaluates patient learning needs and educates patients, family members, and caregivers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• Experience in the related nursing specialty, preferably 1 year.
• BLS required.
• RN License in state of employment or compact.
• Current certification from AWHONN Intermediate FHM, AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Advanced FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).
• Current ACLS certification required.
• Current NRP certification required.
