Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit, you will provide leadership and deliver professional nursing care focused on patient comfort and well-being. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, supervise staff, and document care and education for patients and families. You will oversee patient care based on acuity and staff availability, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure legal, ethical, and competency standards are met. Additionally, you will provide education to staff, patients, and families to promote positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Supervise and provide leadership to nursing staff.
• Document care and education for patients and families.
• Oversee patient care based on acuity and staff availability.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and competency standards.
• Provide education to staff, patients, and families to promote positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required).
• Current RN licensure (required).
• BLS certification (required).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• National certification in specialty areas (preferred).
• Additional certifications such as ACLS and Neonatal Resuscitation (preferred).
