About the Role
Provide compassionate, evidence-based care throughout the perinatal spectrum in the Labor & Delivery unit.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments, monitor vital signs, uterine activity, and fetal heart rates, and identify early complications.
- Care for high-risk pregnancies, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum recovery, and obstetrical emergencies.
- Participate in rapid response to obstetrical emergencies such as hemorrhage, hypertensive crises, and fetal distress.
Requirements
- BSN preferred from CCNE-accredited schools.
- Maryland Registered Nurse License.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification; ACLS & NRP required prior to orientation completion.
- Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience.
