Registered Nurse- Klarman 10- Complex and Vascular Surgery- Per Diem
About the role
Klarman 10 is a private, family-friendly inpatient surgical floor at BILH. It includes 32 private rooms with telemetry and intermediate care beds. The primary patient populations are Vascular Surgery, Pancreatic Surgery, and Bariatric Surgery.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments.
- Systematically assesses the health care needs of individuals or groups and formulates a care plan, implementing and evaluating it.
- Demonstrates decision-making ability by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience in caring for patients.
- Collaborates with other health professionals to address complex patient needs.
- Fosters a dynamic team environment and communicates effectively with patients and families.
- Maintains annual mandatory education requirements, including emergency skills and unit-based competencies.
- Participates in activities that contribute to professional development.
- May participate in quality improvement activities.
- Acts as a patient advocate.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years related work experience required.
Qualifications
- Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse required. American Heart Association – Basic Life Support Certificate required.

Physical Requirements: Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Work requires constant walking, endurance working up to 3-4 hours without a break, frequent standing, bending neck, bending waist, twisting neck, twisting waist, maintaining crouch for > 5 minutes, repetition crouch (>2 times/minutes), power grasping using both hands, fine manipulation using both hands, pushing/pulling using both hands, keyboard use, reaching-above shoulder height, reaching-below shoulder height, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs, pulling and/or repositioning patient weighing up to 100 pounds without assistance, pulling and/or repositioning patient weighing up to 250 pounds with assistance, pushing items weighing up to 50 lbs, pushing a wheelchair or wheeled bed containing a patient weighing up to 250 pounds with assistance.

Pay
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, including seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
