Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology - Full Time - Days
Up to $25,000 sign-on bonus for qualified Registered Nurses. Full-time, day shift position at Robert Packer Hospital – 4 West unit, 40 hours per week.

4 West is a 15-bed short-stay unit focusing on procedural populations, including prep/recovery, minor procedures related to interventional radiology, and various surgical service lines.
About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. Accountable for delivering coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. Practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and ANA scope and standards of practice.
Responsibilities
- Employs Nursing Professional Practice: Assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patients' care. Develops, updates, and coordinates the patient’s plan of care to achieve patient goals and optimize outcomes across the continuum. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Performs and maintains essential competencies as required by the specific area of hire and population served.
- Advocates: Effectively advocates for ethical and holistic care by partnering in care planning to promote autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs of those served.
- Facilitates Learning: Fosters a learning environment for patients/families, nursing, and other healthcare team members, including students. Facilitates formal and informal learning.
- Aligns Practice with Safety and Quality: Accountable for safety, identifies and corrects problems, and integrates evidence and best practices into nursing care. Uses data and evidence to improve patient outcomes. Aligns patient safety, self-safety, and environmental safety as equally important for best outcomes.
- Engages in Professional Development: Engages in ongoing professional development; practices at the top of license within legal parameters. Promotes a culture of inquiry that explores, integrates, and disseminates research and evidence-based practice.
- Leader in Practice Setting & Community: Demonstrates leadership as a change agent using collaborative skills. Partners with colleagues to appropriately delegate, coordinate care, and collaborate as equal members of the inter-professional care team. Models professional behaviors and participates in planning and presenting educational programs.
- Proficiency in Information Technology, such as electronic health records, communication systems, computers, and equipment necessary to perform essential functions.
- Skilled in working with a wide range of staff as part of an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff.
- Ability to use independent, critical judgment in all aspects of patient care delivery.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills that convey a positive and supportive attitude.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities, urgent responses, and challenging situations.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse currently licensed in the state of employment.
- At least one year of experience as an RN, or transitioned from the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse Residency (NLRN) Program with less than one year of experience.
- BSN in Nursing preferred. Any previously agreed-upon effective date for obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in nursing remains in effect, including for those transitioning from the NLRN Program. Contracts with specific time frames for obtaining a BSN will supersede general policies.
- Specialty Certification preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification is unit dependent.
