Registered Nurse - Intermediate Stepdown

Role Overview

This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a General Surgery & Trauma setting during night shifts. The nurse will lead holistic patient care by executing personalized care plans, monitoring clinical conditions, and ensuring safe, evidence-based treatments. They will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, advocate for patients, and facilitate smooth transitions from hospital to home by assessing and managing discharge needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead patient-centered care and monitor clinical conditions
• Coordinate communication among healthcare teams
• Implement physician orders accurately and uphold clinical protocols
• Assist with patient discharge planning and follow-up

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Registered Nurse from the Kansas Board of Nursing
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure
