About the role
The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a variety of complex patients, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Collects and analyzes comprehensive patient data for assessment and care planning.
- Develops and implements a plan of care based on patient needs and goals.
- Communicates with patients and families, other healthcare providers, and support staff to coordinate care.
- Administers medications accurately and documents care using electronic systems.
- Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans as necessary.
- Adapts to changing patient conditions and communicates effectively with the team.
- Ensures patient safety and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Current New Jersey RN license.
- BLS/CPR certification.
- At least six (6) months of nursing experience or participation in the Nurse Residency Program.
- A BSN is preferred or must be obtained within three (3) years of hire.
- Telemetry certification is preferred.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to patient needs, and demonstrate strong teamwork and patient focus.

- Proficiency in electronic documentation and medication administration.
