Shifts Available: Days
Hours: 12-hour shifts – 7:00am to 7:00pm
Location: St. Mary's Medical Center - Blue Springs, MO
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to patients recovering from medical conditions such as strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, orthopedic surgeries, amputations, chronic diseases or other conditions
- Monitor patients’ medical status, vital signs, responses to rehabilitation therapies; along with administration of medications, manage IVs, and provide wound care as needed
- Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and eating, in coordination with physical therapists and occupational therapists
- Teach patients to use assistive devices, such as walkers, prosthetics, or wheelchairs
- Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, treatment plans, and long-term care strategies
- Participate in discharge planning, ensuring that patients are prepared for a safe transition to home or another care setting
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
- Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
- Ventilator Management experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
