Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized orthopedic care by executing clinical treatments, managing traction/immobilization devices, and applying evidence-based protocols to ensure optimal musculoskeletal recovery and patient safety.
  • Manage and adapt post-surgical recovery plans by closely monitoring neurovascular status, managing acute pain, and adjusting care to support early mobility and prevent complications.
  • Champion multidisciplinary rehabilitation by partnering closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and occupational therapists to ensure a seamless, well-coordinated recovery journey.
  • Advocate for safe patient transitions by assessing discharge needs, coordinating home medical equipment (like CPM machines or walkers), and educating families on safe transfer techniques and weight-bearing restrictions.

Requirements

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration:
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
  • Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
