Registered Nurse - Inpatient Medical Psych Unit (PMCU)

Responsibilities

• Treat patients
• Provide education on mental and medical conditions
• Offer emotional support to patients and/or family members
• Run therapeutic groups
• Perform psychiatric crisis intervention
• Implement seclusion and restraint procedures
• Record patients' medical histories and symptoms
• Operate medical machinery
• Administer treatment and medications
• Support patient follow-up and rehabilitation
• Teach patients and their families about managing illnesses or injuries
• Provide guidance on diet, exercise, and self-administration of medication and physical therapy

Qualifications

• Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
• Understanding of interdisciplinary treatment team process
• Knowledge of behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient units
• Understanding of the continuum of care for behavioral health care

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $40.83 to $50.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
