Registered Nurse Inpatient Behavioral Health Full time Nights

About the Role
Full time, 36 hours a week, every third weekend - 7pm-7:30a on the Inpatient Psychiatric unit (5 West).
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care in the psychiatric inpatient setting including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
- Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
- Update and manage patient records
- Enter and interpret computerized data/information
- Follow guidelines and policies established by SEMC’s nursing organization
- Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
Requirements
- Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
- 1+ years of Inpatient Behavioral Health RN experience preferred
- Certification in basic life support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certificate preferred and/or completed during orientation
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Experience with electronic health record preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Fluency in another language a plus

Pay
Compensation range: $39.80 - $93.69 per hour. This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. Base pay is determined by education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements. Additional compensation includes benefits (medical, dental, vision, pharmacy), contract increases, Flexible Spending Accounts, 403(b) savings matches, earned time cash out, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources to support employee and family wellbeing.
