Registered Nurse - Immunisation [Fixed Term]

About the role

This role is part of the Immunisation Outreach contract to achieve a government health target of 95% of tamariki being fully immunized by 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Raise awareness levels of immunizations with the goal of creating long-term commitment to immunizations within whānau.
• Provide education and health literacy to whānau to protect against disease in their tamariki and the wider population.
• Empower whānau to build healthier and safer lifestyles for their household.
• Provide vaccinations services in home or community settings.
• Work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, for a fixed term to 30th June 2027.

Requirements

• A current Practicing Certificate.
• A Qualified Authorised vaccinator.
• Lives in the local community and knows the area.
• Can speak Te Reo and understand tikanga Māori (or willing to learn).
• Can educate and motivate whānau.
• Professional in all aspects of work, from presentation to practice.
• High standards of confidentiality.
• A current New Zealand FULL Driver’s License.
