About the role
This role is part of the Immunisation Outreach contract to achieve a government health target of 95% of tamariki being fully immunized by 24 months.
Responsibilities
- Raise awareness levels of immunizations with the goal of creating long-term commitment to immunizations within whānau.
- Provide education and health literacy to whānau to protect against disease in their tamariki and the wider population.
- Empower whānau to build healthier and safer lifestyles for their household.
- Provide vaccinations services in home or community settings.
- Work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, for a fixed term to 30th June 2027.
Requirements
- A current Practicing Certificate.
- A Qualified Authorised vaccinator.
- Lives in the local community and knows the area.
- Can speak Te Reo and understand tikanga Māori (or willing to learn).
- Can educate and motivate whānau.
- Professional in all aspects of work, from presentation to practice.
- High standards of confidentiality.
- A current New Zealand FULL Driver’s License.
