Registered Nurse II - HW Endoscopy Procedure Nurse

About the role

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal‑directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. As an endoscopy procedure nurse, you will assist in endoscopy procedures, working directly beside attendings. Responsibilities

• Assist in endoscopy procedures alongside attending physicians.
• Provide individualized, goal‑directed patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe and effective care while collaborating with the health‑care team.
• Participate in weekend call approximately once every three months and rotating holiday call as needed.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA‑recognized equivalent) or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse.
• One year of experience in GI procedures preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors/outdoors, from elevated areas, in confined/cramped spaces, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, pinching, reaching overhead, performing repetitive motions, using lower extremities for balance, reaching in all directions, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, exerting up to 50
