About the role
The Infusion Nurse in Hollings Clinics reports to the Unit Manager. Under general supervision, the Infusion Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes.

- May independently double-check chemotherapy as required by Oncology Nursing Society certification.
Requirements
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
- Current Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification issued by Oncology Nursing Society required if independently double-checking chemotherapy.
Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of work experience as a registered nurse required.
- A Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred. RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date.

- Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors, working outside in temperature extremes, working from elevated areas, working in confined/cramped spaces, bending at the waist, twisting at the waist, squatting, performing "pinching" operations, reaching overhead, performing repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, lifting and carrying 50 lbs., pushing/pulling objects, maintaining 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes, seeing and recognizing objects close at hand or at a distance, matching or discriminating between colors, determining distance/relationship between objects; depth perception, good peripheral vision capabilities, maintaining hearing acuity, with correction, performing gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements, dealing effectively with stressful situations, working rotating shifts, working overtime as required, working in a latex safe environment, maintaining tactile sensory functions, and if selected, maintaining good olfactory sensory function and being qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required.
Benefits
$4,000 sign on bonus for ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) Certified Nurses & OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse). Both out of state and/or in state qualify. Not available for internal hires. The ONS Certification needs to be obtained prior to signing offer letter.
