About the role
Join a trusted local healthcare staffing team as a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in ICU or Telemetry in Halifax, VA.
Responsibilities
- Providing safe, high-quality care in an acute-care hospital setting
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and specialized equipment
- Collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records
- Following hospital policies, infection-control standards, and safety guidelines
- Educating patients and families about treatment and discharge instructions
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license
- At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
