About the Role

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the ICU Critical Care department. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide individualized, compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." As an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, you will model the organization’s vision and values to support exceptional patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology for complete understanding.
  • Educate patients and families on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy lifestyle changes, disease prevention, and self-management.
  • Prepare patients and families for future self-management of care.
  • Manage evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver holistic patient treatment plans that promote recovery.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
