Registered Nurse - ICU
About the role
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, direct patient/family teaching, and guide activities of other nursing personnel.
Responsibilities
- Delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Communicates with physicians about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and abnormal results and symptomatology.
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Qualifications
- One year acute nursing experience strongly preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of critical care procedures and protocols.

Pay
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure. A competitive compensation estimate for this role is $43.00.
Schedule
PRN days, 12-hour shifts, 700am - 730pm.
