About the role

LA Health Services is seeking applications from all Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health (CONAH) graduates for various nursing positions. Applications will be accepted continuously until all positions are filled.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfills established policies and procedures within the scope of practice.
  • Maintains compliance with licensing and accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts self-assessment of performance and identifies personal learning needs.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Participates in patient care conferences, committee meetings, staff development, and education programs.
  • Performs phlebotomy and intravenous (IV) insertion as needed.
  • Participates in clinical investigations, research studies, and product evaluations.
  • Assists in discharge planning and patient education.
  • Provides individualized and specialized nursing care, administers medications, and monitors patient responses.
  • Evaluates and communicates the effects of treatments and interventions.
  • Modifies care plans based on reassessment findings and patient care needs.

Requirements

  • A current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
  • A current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Graduation from the Nursing program of the Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health (CONAH) within the last two (2) years.
  • To receive credit for certifications/licenses, they must be active and unrestricted.
  • Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License or equivalent transportation method.
  • Physical Class III - Moderate: Standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally and up to 10-25 pounds frequently.
