Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Perform “AT Risk Foot Care” assessments; identify vascular and neuro changes that need referrals to a higher level of care
- Provide physical assessment, provide education on conservative vs. invasive intervention as they align with patient goals and develop a plan of action with the physician
- Document Impression, plans and follow up, per physician dictation
- Provide telephone triage and manage physician communications
- Patient assessment prior to surgery
- Maintain sterile field and assist the surgeon in a sterile fashion throughout the procedure
- Ensure all equipment is working properly, nitrogen and oxygen tanks are adequately filled, check that crash cart and medications are up to date
- Facilitate prompt patient turn over
Required Skills And Experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current nursing license, in good standing with the state licensing board (MD)
- Minimum of 1 year OR experience
- Federal, State, and GHR- required credentials current and on file
- Cognitive skills as related to the position
- Proficient in Microsoft, Google, and EMR
- Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures
- Respects culture and religious practices of patients
- Punctual and dependable
- The ability to uphold HIPAA compliance is mandatory
- Must exercise good judgment and discretion
- Tech-savvy; proficient in Microsoft 365 products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
