Registered Nurse - Hospice, Full Time, Days 8 AM - 4 PM, Sussex County Atlantic Visiting Nurse

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for case management
• Prioritizes schedule to accommodate patient's needs
• Evaluates the plan of care and revises as needed
• Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacology and safe medication management and end-of-life symptom management
• Routinely reconciles medications
• Maintains current medication orders
• Shows evidence of interdisciplinary communication
• Participates in PI meetings and activities/committees as requested
• Assists with growing agency business
• Provides orientation to new employees
• Accepts other assignments as requested
• Cross trains to learn new skills and demonstrates a willingness to teach others

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
• BLS certification
• 1+ year of experience in Hospice Nursing
• CHPN certification

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing. All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date.
