Registered Nurse - Hospice - Full Time - Community

General Summary

Works under the supervision of the hospice and/or palliative care at home manager. Provides nursing care to hospice and/or palliative care at home patients in accordance with the hospice and palliative care at home concept of care. Assumes managerial responsibilities in the absence of the hospice and/or palliative care at home manager.

Education/Experience Required

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• CURRENT Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Hospice and/or palliative care at home certification preferred
• A working knowledge of current pain and symptom management
• Experience appropriate to the needs of hospice and palliative care at home patients and their families is preferred
• Interpersonal skills to present a positive image of hospice and palliative care at home to those who are referred to the program
• The ability to be flexible in adapting policies and procedures to meet the needs presented by hospice and palliative care at home patients and families
• A valid drivers' license, an acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED

• Michigan licensure as a Registered Nurse
