Registered Nurse - Hospice

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, develop and evaluate care plans, and ensure appropriate service utilization.
• Complete discharge assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
• Utilize age-appropriate teaching methods for patients and families.
• Manage cases, prioritize care needs, and demonstrate knowledge of hospice regulations.
• Maintain a safe environment, follow infection control measures, and manage medications safely.
• Participate in staff and PI meetings, and support agency growth through orientation and cross-training.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum two years of RN experience in a home hospice environment.
• Proficiency with EMR, strong critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Valid New Jersey driver’s license and BLS certification required.
• Prior to three years of RN experience and previous ICU experience preferred.

Schedule

General Inpatient (GIP): 11 AM - 7 PM, every other weekend.
