About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our hospice care team. As a Hospice Nurse, you will assume responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans. You will utilize the nursing process, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practices, and seamless coordination with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients in their home setting.
- Utilize the nursing process, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practices, and seamless coordination with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Deliver compassionate care to patients in their own homes, where comfort and healing can take place.
- Gain specialized experience in areas such as wound care, medication management, and IV therapy, all in a homecare setting.
- Play a vital role in ensuring patients receive exceptional care in the setting they cherish most—their home.
Requirements
- Current RN License in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers
- Current driver’s license, insured and reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Physical Requirements: ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies; frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations; manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.; ongoing need for employee to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items; need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.); may be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time; for roles requiring driving: expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum Qualifications: Current RN License in state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers, Current driver’s license, insured and reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record, Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), Previous experience in an Acute Care, Home Health, or Hospice setting

Pay
- $37.45 - $57.29 per hour
Schedule
- 4-10 hour shifts, 10AM-8:30PM
- Rotating call
- Holidays
