Registered Nurse, Hospice

About the role

VCU Health Hospice at Home by BAYADA is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide hospice care on a per-visit basis in territories throughout Richmond, VA. As a hospice nurse, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team delivering palliative care to clients, enabling them to receive medical care at home.

Responsibilities

• Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
• Perform assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, procedures, and comfort care.
• Monitor clients' conditions and report changes to the Clinical or Client Services Manager.
• Follow up with, execute, and properly document doctors' orders.
• Perform client assessments as necessary.
• Occasional on-call shifts after hours and/or weekends.

Requirements

• A current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Virginia.
• A minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience.
• Prior home care and/or hospice experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
• Ability to travel to cases as assigned.
