About the role

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care using the nursing process model
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Coordinate care, provide health promotion and teaching
• Adhere to professional performance standards including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
• Active RN license in Virginia (Required within 90 days)
• Experience with ports, central lines, peripheral IVs, and medications

Pay

$38.55 - $64 per hour. Mileage reimbursement offered for miles driven between patient visits.

Schedule

Part-time, weekend days shift, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
