About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role will make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients navigating complex hematologic cancers, including Multiple Myeloma, amyloidosis, and other plasma cell disorders. You will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, specialized care to patients at every stage of their journey.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care with a focus on symptom assessment and management, patient and family education, treatment support, and seamless care coordination across the continuum.
  • Build strong relationships with patients while helping them navigate diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship with confidence and support.
  • Collaborate closely with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team—including physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and support staff—to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Develop expertise in cutting-edge therapies, including immunotherapy, targeted treatments, and clinical trials in a rapidly evolving field.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nursing program, as recognized by ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA.
  • One year of RN experience required.
  • Currently working in direct patient care.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends and on-call.
  • Demonstrated leadership, effective communicator, and excellent critical thinking skills.

Skills

Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, computer skills, flexibility, and critical thinking skills are essential.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $35.84 - $58.84 per hour. Mayo Clinic has an innovative nursing compensation model that rewards experience, education, and dedication to the organization.

Schedule

This position is full-time with 56-64 hours per week, Monday through Friday, days, 8-hour shifts. There are no weekend schedules.
