Registered Nurse / Graduate Nurse - Acute Care

About the role
Reporting to the Director, the Registered Nurse (RN) must demonstrate the passion to provide bedside care to a diverse and acutely ill population of patients. The Registered Nurse should possess the knowledge and skill to safely apply the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of patients with various health conditions.
This 51-bed unit provides care for high-acuity patients across a wide spectrum of complex specialties.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered continuum of care.
- Communicate variances from patient goals and advocate on behalf of the patient.
- Maintain accurate and timely healthcare records.
- Administer medications to patients, provide education, and monitor for efficacy and side effects.
- Assess, monitor, report, and record patient condition and pertinent changes.
- Design, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care plans with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and family throughout stay and in preparation for discharge.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree required (BSN preferred). If a BSN or MSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must agree to obtain within a specific time frame.
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association).
- Superb interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Competency in electronic patient management systems.
Qualifications
- BSN or MSN preferred.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting highly preferred. Will take a graduate nurse and train.

Pay
Pay Range: $38.92 – $55.68. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
