Registered Nurse- Gastroenterology- Per Diem, Days

About the role

Utilizes the principles of the nursing process to provide for the continuity and quality of nursing care administered to a specific group of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Hospital Administration.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care department.
• NYS RN License Required
• Accredited School of Nursing Graduate
• 1-3 Years Med/Surg Experience Required, Endoscopy Experience Preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS Required

• Essential Significant manual skills / motor coord & finger dexterity
• Significant occupational risk
• Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
• Significant exposure to dirt, odor, noise, human waste, etc.
