About the Role

This position provides professional nursing care for residents to assure the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times within a safe environment. Responsibilities include maintaining medical records, administering medications, developing patient care plans with other medical professionals, offering emotional and social support, and attending to residents’ overall physical comfort.

Responsibilities

• Provides for resident safety, comfort, and well-being
• Reviews and administers medications
• Assesses resident conditions, monitors for changes, and responds appropriately
• Communicates resident needs or condition changes to physicians, family, and staff
• Performs treatments such as dressing changes, catheter care, or insertion
• Documents tasks regarding medications, assessments, and communications
• Reviews and updates resident care plans; completes required documentation
• Compiles information for physician reviews
• Assigns, directs, reviews, and trains staff work
• Cleans, organizes, and stocks medical carts and rooms
• Assists residents with requests such as bathroom needs, walking, or medication requests
• Provides direct patient care including repositioning, hygiene, and skin assessments
• Receives and reports shift information to oncoming staff
• Verifies narcotics counts at the beginning and end of shifts
• Requests medications from pharmacy, enters new orders, transcribes orders, and manages returns
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse License
• Must pass criminal and caregiver background check
• Previous experience working with the elderly or disabled populations preferred

Pay

$33.92 – $38.38/hour

Schedule

• Various FTE options: Full-Time, Part-Time, or On-Call
• PM (B Shift): 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
