Registered Nurse- Full Time, Nights, Maternity, Summit NJ
About the role
Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
- Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
- Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Makes assessments, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
- Records patient vital signs and medical information.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, completed within five years of start date.
- RN Certification: Inpatient Obstetrics or Master’s degree in nursing field.
- 2+ years of experience in Nursing or relevant area.
- NRP, ACLS certification.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include a graduate of an accredited Nursing Program, current state licensure as a Registered Nurse, BLS certification, and preferred qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, RN Certification in Inpatient Obstetrics, and 2+ years of experience in Nursing or relevant area. Additionally, candidates should hold NRP and ACLS certifications.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, attention to detail, and proficiency in healthcare software are essential.
