Responsibilities

Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed facility with specialized departments including emergency services, maternity, children's medical center, cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health, and oncology. It is accredited for chest pain with PCI and stroke care, and has received awards from the American Heart Association. The Valley Health System (VHS) operates six hospitals in Las Vegas and Southern Nevada, focusing on patient-centered care, technology, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
  • Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), PALS Certification (pediatric patients), or NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Job Requirements

The position requires providing safe, competent nursing care, leading the healthcare team, and demonstrating Service Excellence standards. The ideal candidate should have a graduate degree in Nursing and relevant experience.
