Registered Nurse, Full Time, Days - AMG Womens Health - Newton
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competent clinical skills and coordinate patient assessment and re-assessment to positively impact quality outcomes.
- Assess barriers to learning and functional status of patients; coordinate, evaluate, and complete patient/family teaching.
- Respond to patients and families courteously, positively, and in a timely manner while respecting their privacy, dignity, and confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
- Foster a positive environment that promotes shared PRIDE values and better patient outcomes by reviewing and closing care gaps.
- Interact directly with patients and team members, documenting in Epic as appropriate, and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Manage in-basket tasks, assist with pharmacy contact, medication ordering and renewal, and review and disseminate labs based on acuity.
- Respond to patient messages in collaboration with clinicians and triage phone calls using critical thinking and assessment skills.
- Recognize emergency situations, act appropriately, and clarify physician orders as needed.
- Maintain a safe environment for team members and patients/visitors using HRO safety principles and report all injuries via the event reporting system.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medication and vaccine administration, monitor effects, and report adverse effects promptly.
- Follow policies and procedures, including emergency equipment and procedures, and report risk management issues in a timely manner.
- Provide comprehensive medical record documentation, maintain patient confidentiality, and verify accuracy of order entry and transcription.
- Participate in practice huddles, communicate effectively with team members and physicians, and collaborate to solve problems and resolve conflicts.
- Utilize standard precautions and isolation techniques, and follow Ambulatory Health Care National Patient Safety Goals.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote evidence-based care within a healing culture for the patient population served.
- Demonstrate knowledge of documentation guidelines, report changes in patient condition immediately, and maintain competency in information systems.
- Pursue formal and independent learning activities to enhance knowledge, clinical competency, and professional development.
- Monitor quality dashboards for assigned clinicians/practice.
- Perform other duties as needed within the scope of RN license and support the strategic goals of the clinical practice care area and system.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- RN license, valid in the State of New Jersey.
- American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) credential.
- Preferred: At least 2 years of clinical practice in ambulatory settings.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Women’s Health experience.
