Registered Nurse - Full Time

About the role

GLFHC is seeking full-time Registered Nurses to provide nursing and health care services to clinicians and patients. The role involves administering and documenting immunizations and medications, reviewing lab results, triaging patients, providing patient education, performing wound care, conducting mental exams, PPD testing, IV insertion, conducting functional assessments, vision screenings, and maintaining quality control of medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Administers and accurately documents immunizations and medications.
• Reviews lab results and determines next steps for care.
• Traits walk-in patients and patients over the phone.
• Provides patient education on topics such as medication, asthma, and healthy eating.
• Performs wound care treatment.
• Conducts mental exams using tools like SLUMS, RUDAS, MOCA.
• Performs purified protein derivative (PPD) testing.
• Maintains quality control of vaccine fridges, crash carts, and oxygen machines.
• Oversees ordering and inventory of medication and vaccines.
• Follows Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, identifies potential safety hazards, and takes corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bilingual, Spanish and English preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current MA RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong nursing knowledge, sound judgment, and assertive decision-making skills.
• Ability to safely don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Experience with intravenous therapy (IV) insertion after training and validation.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to identify and address safety hazards.

Pay

Starting pay rate is $37.54+ hourly, with additional pay for evening and weekend shifts.
