About the role
We are looking for a compassionate hospice nurse to provide quality end-of-life care to terminally ill patients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust patient care plans
- Monitoring vital signs and physical comfort during visits
- Administering treatments and pain management medications
- Communicating patient condition updates to physicians
- Offering emotional support and education to patients' loved ones and caregivers
- Maintaining accurate medical records and charts
- Assisting with end-of-life arrangements and notifying families of patient deaths
- Providing grief counseling and resource guidance to families
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- State-approved RN licensure
- Preferred certification in hospice and palliative care
- At least 2 years of hospice experience
- Proficiency in electronic health management systems
- Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate nature with stress management abilities
- Willingness to work rotational shifts
Pay
$50-$52 hourly wage
