Registered Nurse - Full Time - 7PM-7:30AM (PICU)
About the role
Responsible for utilizing the Nursing Process in a collaborative manner to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with his/her scope of practice. The RN supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph's Healthcare System and on his/her assigned unit.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.
- Successful completion of department-specific orientation and certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 1 year of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year of hire.
- Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse (APHON) within 3 years of hire.
- Effective January 2019, certifications for BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be granted through the American Heart Association.

About The Team
St. Joseph’s University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state-designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus. It regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures. The Medical Center offers a full complement of specialty and subspecialty services including ambulatory, behavioral health, cardiovascular, emergency/trauma, internal medicine, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedic/spine, rehabilitation, surgical specialty, women’s health, imaging, and pediatrics.

Pay
St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and skills. The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation.
