About the role
Responsible for utilizing the Nursing Process in a collaborative manner to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with his/her scope of practice. The RN supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph's Healthcare System and on his/her assigned unit.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred (knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion).
- Current Registered Nurse licensure required by the State of New Jersey.
- Successful completion of department‑specific orientation.
- Department‑specific certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 1 year of hire.
- Effective July 1, 2021: Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire through the American Heart Association.
- Effective January 2019: Certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be granted through the American Heart Association.
