Essential Functions And Basic Duties
- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
- Makes rounds, monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Identifies barriers to effective communication based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural considerations.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary staff.
- May precept student nurses and new hires.
- Employs critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and take appropriate action.
- Partners with the healthcare consumer to implement a patient-centered plan of care.
- Demonstrates caring attitudes and behaviors to develop therapeutic relationships.
- Uses evidence-based interventions and strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Integrates critical thinking and technology solutions.
- Delegates according to the health, safety and welfare of the patients we serve.
- Demonstrates respect, equity, and empathy in actions and interactions with culturally diverse and vulnerable patients.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions).
- Must be able to legally work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
- Must complete employee health meeting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Unencumbered RN License – Colorado or Compact State required.
- Current Certification BLS- required.
- ACLS – required within 1 year.
- PALS or ENPC – required within 1 year.
- Med/Surg experience preferred.
