Registered Nurse for Pediatric Clients for Berrien Springs and St. Joseph area

About the role

Must be licensed in Michigan. Work locations include Berrien Springs and St. Joseph.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Evaluate and treat clients with appropriate level of skill according to client's needs under the supervision of an RN, Clinical Manager.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Provide nursing services both in the home and school environment.
• Provide verbal demonstrations of client rights and responsibilities.
• Support case management by coordinating patient care plans and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations through eMAR systems.
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment.
• Ensure HIPAA regulations are adhered to.
• All other duties assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan; must be in good standing.
• Must maintain all state and federal compliance requirements for licensure and employment.
• Valid driver’s license issued by the state in which you work and a satisfactory driving record.
• Minimum of one year of home care experience, plus one additional year of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital.

Skills

• Experienced with G-Tube feeding.
• Experienced with Trachs/Vents.
• Experienced with cough assist treatment.
• Experienced with seizure interventions.
• Experienced with straight catheterization.
• Ability to use computerized eMAR and documentation systems.
• Satisfactory verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Pay

$40.00 - $42.00 per hour.

Schedule

Flexible schedule with options for Days, Nights, Weekends, and PRN opportunities. Variety of shift lengths available, from short single visits up to 12-hour shifts.
