About the Role

The primary objective of this position is to provide quality care. As a Registered Nurse on the Float Team (Telemetry), you will be responsible for the direct and/or indirect care of assigned patients utilizing professional nursing skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Assess learning needs, readiness to learn, and identify actual or potential barriers to learning, incorporating patient education into daily activities based on age, cultural, and spiritual values.
  • Document admission assessment/reassessment, plan, interventions, and medication use, monitoring effects and outcomes according to policy.
  • Utilize the information management system to enhance communication and document changes in patients' conditions to all appropriate individuals.
  • Prioritize work assignments based on changing situations.
  • Communicate transfer of patient responsibility and pertinent information at the bedside and during Interprofessional Rounds.
  • Recognize and integrate patient special needs, individualize care, and demonstrate knowledge in abuse recognition and referral.
  • Include pain management and supportive care issues in the plan of care.
  • Adhere to infection control standards specific to patient care and promote and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BSN required from an accredited school of nursing.
  • PA RN License.
  • AHA BLS certification.
  • 3 years of experience in critical care.

Schedule

Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), Full Time, 12-hour shifts.
