Position Overview
The Registered Nurse - Float provides direct clinical patient care across various units, including ICU, acute care, telemetry, emergency, BHU, and OR, under the supervision of the unit manager. The role supports the Chief Nursing Officer in maintaining staff competency and optimal resource management.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, planning, and implementing age-appropriate care for assigned patients.
- Supervising staff and delegating tasks to clinical staff.
- Ensuring high-quality, safe nursing practices.
- Working in diverse clinical settings, adapting to different patient care environments.
- Providing comprehensive patient assessments and care plans.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional knowledge.
- 1-3 years of nursing experience.
- Maryland RN license and BLS certification.
- Specialty certifications preferred; BLS & ACLS (Critical Care/Telemetry), BLS (BHU/OR/Acute Care), ACLS & PALS (ED) required.
