About the role
Providing direct patient care in a critical care, emergency, or labor and delivery setting during night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Apply medical-surgical nursing standards to enhance patient care and quality of life.
- Establish effective relationships with patients and their families to develop personalized care plans.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Consider physical, cultural, social, economic, and spiritual factors in care management.
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams and advocate for patient needs.
- Educate patients and families on health promotion and comfort measures.
- Mentor colleagues and promote a healthy work environment.
- Apply evidence-based practices in medical-surgical nursing.
- Perform point-of-care testing and other assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- One to two years of nursing experience, preferably in critical care or emergency settings.
- Valid RN license and BLS certification in applicable states.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform required tasks.
Skills
- Strong communication, adaptability, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Ability to deliver culturally sensitive, ethical, and holistic care.
- Proficiency in using clinical judgment and evidence-based practices.
