Registered Nurse Fellow (RN) Acute Care Unit

About the role

Inova Loudoun Hospital is seeking a full-time day shift Registered Nurse to join the 25 & 26 Main Acute Care team. The position offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible nurses.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing their relationships.
• Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
• Conducts all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner, integrating knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Advocates for patients' rights from the patient and family perspective and provides counsel while acting as a resource to resolve issues.
• Accesses resources from all disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes and coordinates healthcare and alternate services for patient/family transition planning.
• Evaluates the process to achieve outcomes, anticipates patient variances, and makes revisions to plans of care.

Requirements

• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. ADN holders must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Experience: Requires a minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
• Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Schedule

The role is full-time day shift 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., with 3-12 hour shifts per week, including some weekends.
