Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse Non-Acute functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes. This position focuses on expanding knowledge and skills, providing effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to a variety of complex patients. This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination. This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
Qualifications
- Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required
- BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required
- At least one year of RN experience required
- At least one year working in an outpatient setting, preferably in an outpatient primary care or specialty office setting as an RN, is required
- Experience working in the outpatient setting with varied patient populations including OB/GYN, pediatrics, primary care, and surgery. Proficient with pediatric vaccine schedules and administration. Knowledge of NJIIS and VFC programs preferred.
- Able to confidently administer vaccines to pediatric patients required
- Must be able to provide care to adults including obstetrics, medical, gyn. Outpatient office experience preferred.
- Able to demonstrate rapid assessment skills for a wide range of adult conditions and provide care coordination to a variety of patient populations is highly desired
- Able to respond to a high volume of patients in an outpatient setting
- The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork and flexibility, dedication to ongoing education and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of patient centered education are all required.

Minimum rate of $42.55 Hourly
