Registered Nurse - Family Birth Center - Labor/Delivery

Role Overview: This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a Family Birth Center, supporting antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum patients, and their newborns. The RN coordinates patient care, educates families, and ensures smooth transitions across care settings. Key Responsibilities Manage direct patient care in labor, delivery, postpartum, and perioperative settings.Support family-centered care, including assisting support persons and siblings during birth.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, lactation consultants, social workers, and specialized nurses.Participate in quality improvement activities, mentoring, and leadership roles within the nursing team.Provide patient and family education, and facilitate communication across care teams. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; one year of RN experience required.Current RN license and BLS certification (or equivalent) prior to start.Excellent communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and adaptability skills.Experience with electronic medical records preferred.Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
