About the role
Providing comprehensive care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum patients, and newborns in the Family Birth Center.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate nursing care
- Support patient and family education
- Facilitate care transitions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, social workers, lactation consultants, and other specialists
- Assist with labor, delivery, cesarean sections, postpartum procedures, and perioperative care, ensuring family-centered, couplet care
- Support triage and provide leadership roles such as preceptor and quality improvement activities
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with at least one year of RN experience
- Current RN license
- BLS certification
- Excellent communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and adaptability skills
- Additional state licensure or certifications may be required based on the work area
Skills
- Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities
- Proficiency with electronic medical records
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to handle unpredictable situations effectively
