Registered Nurse - Family Birth Center

This role is designed for newly graduated Registered Nurses with less than 12 months of practice experience, enrolling automatically in a Nurse Residency Program. All new nurses, regardless of experience, receive comprehensive orientation. The RN is responsible for coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, education, and care transitions. They support professional nursing practice across various settings and within the Mayo Nursing Care Model, ensuring all phases of patient care are planned, implemented, evaluated, and communicated effectively. They provide leadership through mentoring, precepting, and quality improvement initiatives, delegate tasks based on skill level and patient acuity, and possess strong communication and teaching skills. Participation in committees or projects may be required. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program and valid MN RN licensure. BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross is required. Preferred experience includes one year of RN or LPN practice. Sponsorship for TN visas is available, contingent on licensure and certification.
