About the role
The RN utilizes the Nursing Process in a collaborative manner to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with his/her scope of practice. The RN supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph's Healthcare System and on his/her assigned unit.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the Nursing Process in a collaborative manner to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with his/her scope of practice.
- Serves as a resource to other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Assists in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provides direct patient care as needed.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.
- Completion of department specific orientation and department specific certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), and an EKG class to be completed within the 3 month introductory period.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be completed within 6 months of hire.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Pay
St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.
