About the role
The Registered Nurse plays a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, working closely with physicians to deliver exceptional patient care. They utilize the nursing care process, ensuring a continuum of care across various settings. The RN oversees the interdisciplinary plan of care, coordinates with the medical treatment plan, and actively supports performance improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.
- Utilize the nursing care process for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Oversee the coordination of the interdisciplinary plan of care, ensuring alignment with the medical treatment plan.
- Provide leadership and support to other patient care team members.
- Participate in educational activities for professional growth and development.
- Perform Limited Laboratory Services, including specimen collection and processing.
- Document patient care activities according to standards and organizational policies.
- Ensure a culturally competent continuum of care for patients.
- Prioritize patient problems and set goals for patient care and health promotion.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey or current multi-state license.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.
- 2 years of medical/surgical experience, with endoscopy, telemetry, and critical care experience preferred.
- ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
- CGRN certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred, with training provided for incumbents.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
