About the role

The Registered Nurse plays a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, working closely with physicians to deliver exceptional patient care. They utilize the nursing care process, ensuring a continuum of care across various settings. The RN oversees the interdisciplinary plan of care, coordinates with the medical treatment plan, and actively supports performance improvement initiatives. This role requires a strong commitment to professional growth and a passion for creating an empowering environment for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.
  • Utilize the nursing care process for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Oversee the coordination of the interdisciplinary plan of care, ensuring alignment with the medical treatment plan.
  • Provide leadership and support to other patient care team members.
  • Participate in educational activities for professional growth and development.
  • Perform Limited Laboratory Services, including specimen collection and processing.
  • Document patient care activities according to standards and organizational policies.
  • Ensure a culturally competent continuum of care for patients.
  • Prioritize patient problems and set goals for patient care and health promotion.
  • Maintain a safe and comfortable work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey or current multi-state license.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.
  • 2 years of medical/surgical experience, with endoscopy, telemetry, and critical care experience preferred.
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • CGRN certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred, with training provided for incumbents.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
